Future Sessions

IEEE 802.1 holds meetings during the IEEE 802 plenary sessions in March, July and November each year, and usually during IEEE 802.1 interim sessions in January, May and September. Some projects also hold electronic meetings that are authorized in advance and announced on the IEEE 802.1 minutes mailing list.

If an in-person meeting host exceptionally supports the facilities for remote participation, then that Plenary or Interim Session can be a mixed mode Session. In this case, please note the following:

  • A mixed mode Session is conducted as an in-person Session with remote participation made available on a best-effort basis
  • Meetings are scheduled for the local time zone of the in-person session.
  • In-person meetings in that session are held and continue uninterrupted even if issues with remote participation arise.
  • Any registration fee charged for remote participation will not be refunded as a result of issues with remote participation.

Newcomers to IEEE 802.1 sessions may benefit from reviewing orientation information.

Plenary Sessions

Plenary session announcements may be found on the IEEE 802 website.

The next IEEE 802.1 plenary session will be conducted in person in Vancouver, BC, Canada, with provisions to support mixed mode (i.e., remote attendance), November 10-15, 2024. Registration is required for all individuals who participate in session(s). Click on a given November 10-15 meeting entry in the IEEE 802.1 WG calendar to access the corresponding Webex link.
