Announcement: Header Compression Workshop
Joint IEEE 802.3 NEA “Ethernet for AI” Assessment / IEEE 802 Nendica Workshop – “Header Compression”
The IEEE 802.3 NEA “Ethernet for AI” (E4AI) Assessment and IEEE 802 Nendica will be co-hosting a teleconference workshop to explore different industry approaches to header compression, which could influence current and future activities in IEEE 802.
Date: Thurs 23 April 2026, 10am to 2pm, ET
Venue: online only
The agenda for the workshop will be to consider liaison contributions from SDOs and industry organisations regarding their approaches to header compression. Please note that this workshop is not a precursor to a new header compression project within IEEE 802.
All organizations are encouraged to consider their participation in this event and forward a liaison to the IEEE 802.3 Ethernet Working Group and IEEE 802.1 Working Group regarding their header compression approach. Please forward any liaisons to dlaw@hpe.com and glenn.parsons@ericsson.com by 09 April 2026.
